UW men will hit the road often against nonconference teams to start 2015-16 season

LARAMIE, Wyoming — Wyoming will open its 2015-16 men's basketball season with six road and neutral site games before starting their Mountain West Conference schedule.

Coach Larry Shyatt says the road games include going to Indiana State on Nov. 16, Denver on Dec. 2 and New Mexico State in December.

The Cowboys will play Montana State on Nov. 22 at a neutral Billings, Montana, and will play in a tournament in Las Vegas.

Last season, Wyoming played three nonconference games away from home.

Shyatt says playing away from home early will be good for his young team.

Guard Josh Adams is the only returning senior and as many as six true freshmen could be on the roster.

Shyatt says he's still working on the nonconference home schedule.
