Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen returns to practice after hip injury

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Arkansas coach Bret Bielema says quarterback Brandon Allen has returned to practice and is on schedule to return when the Razorbacks face No. 17 Missouri on Friday.

Allen missed the second half of Arkansas' 30-0 win over Mississippi last week after being hit on his right hip. The junior has completed 165 of 286 passes (57.7 percent) with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions this season for the Razorbacks (6-5, 2-5 Southeastern Conference).

Bielema says Allen practiced Tuesday and said that if the quarterback "continues to move in the direction that he's already started, there's not going to be a problem."

Backup quarterback Austin Allen will start if his older brother is unable to play.

Missouri (9-2, 6-1) can win the SEC East with a victory over Arkansas.
