BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission has set the dates and bag limits for the 2014 special teal season.

The season will stretch for 16 days from Sept. 13-28.

For the second year in a row, hunters will be allowed to harvest up to six teal each day during the season. NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (http://bit.ly/1zb8rdt ) before 2013, the daily bag limit was four teal.

The commission also set the same September dates for hunting rails and gallinules. The daily limits for king and clapper rails are 15 in the aggregate and for sora and virginia rails, they are 25 in the aggregate.

Daily limits for common and purple gallinule are 15 in the aggregate.

The remaining dates to harvest rails and gallinules will be set at the commission's August meeting.
