SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — Federal prosecutors say a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier from Shreveport has pleaded guilty to stealing Netflix DVDs and money.

U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley says 30-year-old Frankey Savannah entered his plea before U.S. District Judge S. Maurice Hicks Jr. Thursday to one count of theft of mail matter.

Savannah will be sentenced Dec. 10. He faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised released, a $250,000 fine and restitution.

An investigation by postal inspectors was launched after Netflix contacted the postal service about DVD movie losses occurring from July 2013 to October along a Bossier Parish route.
