MORIAH, New York — State police and fire officials say a 22-year-old woman has died in a fire that destroyed a home in northern New York.
Troopers say the fire was reported around 5 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the Essex County town of Moriah, on Lake Champlain 95 miles north of Albany.
Police Tuesday afternoon say 22-year-old Sierra Daha of Moriah Center was found dead on the second floor. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
