Shreveport police look for 28-year-old man accused of killing girlfriend, 23, after argument

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — Shreveport police are looking for a man accused of killing his girlfriend at her home.

Cpl. Breck Scott says a warrant for 28-year-old Brett Burnley accuses him of second-degree murder of 23-year-old Brittany Leann Green.

The police spokesman says Burnley allegedly threatened to kill Green during an argument, left, and returned a few hours later with a semiautomatic rifle.

He says Green was shot multiple times in the upper body about 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Scott says that Burnley is considered armed and dangerous, and bond of $500,000 will be required once he's arrested.
