AUSTIN, Texas — A convicted felon on the Department of Public Safety 10 Most Wanted fugitive list has been captured in Northeast Texas.

DPS officials say 47-year-old Kenneth Latham of Texarkana was caught in the nearby town of Nash.

DPS on Friday said a $10,000 reward will be paid to the tipster whose information led to Latham's arrest Wednesday night. Latham was wanted for parole violation related to possession of drugs and weapons.

Records show Latham in 1998 was sentenced to 35 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance. He was paroled in 2005 but two years later was sentenced to nearly seven years on other drug-related convictions. He was paroled in 2009.
