FLORIDA CITY, Florida — A man is recovering from injuries after being shot by an officer during a foot chase.
Miami-Dade Police said a Homestead police officer was questioning the suspect Thursday when the suspect pulled a firearm from his pocket and ran off. As the officer chased the suspect, authorities said the man pointed the gun at the officer and fired an unknown number of shots.
The officer shot the unidentified suspect somewhere on his lower body. The man was hospitalized in stable condition.
Authorities said charges are pending. No other details were given.
