SACRAMENTO, California — Authorities said three people are dead after a man driving the wrong way on a Sacramento highway crashed head on into their car.

California Highway Patrol spokesman Chad Hertzell says a large bottle of rum was recovered from the suspect's vehicle following early Saturday's crash on Interstate 80.

That driver — 24-year-old Aaron Caudillo of Roseville — will likely face charges after recovering from his injuries at a hospital.

The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/1xQnEku) the victims were young adults from Placer County, and that two of them worked at a Taco Bell restaurant in Granite Bay.
