Redskins put starting LG Lauvao, backup CB Rogers on season-ending IR, sign LB Foster

ASHBURN, Virginia — The Washington Redskins have placed starting left guard and backup cornerback on injured reserve, meaning both are out for the rest of the season.

Also Tuesday, the Redskins signed free-agent linebacker , signed cornerback from the practice squad to the active roster, and added center to the practice squad.

Mason played for Tampa Bay the past four seasons. He was cut by Chicago before the start of this season.

Lauvao sprained his left ankle in Washington's 32-21 loss to the New York Giants in Week 3. The next day, Redskins coach said Lauvao had "a chance to miss a little bit of time."

The Redskins (1-2) host the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) on Sunday.
