PEABODY, Massachusetts — A Peabody man suspected of fatally beating his estranged wife is headed to court.

Joseph Buonanduci is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Peabody District Court on a murder charge in connection with the death last week of 45-year-old Donna Buonanduci.

Police say the couple's son went to Joseph Buonanduci's home on Friday night after Donna Buonanduci failed to return from a visit there. Seeing signs of a violent struggle, he called police. Officers found the woman beaten to death in the home.

Joseph Buonanduci was arrested Saturday after a 20-minute high-speed police chase that ended on Interstate 495 in Amesbury.

He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
