Elderly woman hit, killed by car while walking across intersection in Casper


CASPER, Wyoming — Police say an elderly woman died after she was struck by a car while walking across an intersection in Casper.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports ( ) the woman, whose name has not been released, was hit at about 7 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 15th and Pinyon streets. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators say the woman was not walking in a marked intersection, and the rising sun might have affected the driver's vision.
