Elton woman killed, 2 others critically injured in 2 vehicle crash in Calcasieu Parish

LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — An 18-year-old Elton woman was killed and two other women critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on Ward Line Road and La. Highway.

State police Sgt. James Anderson tells the American Press (http://bit.ly/cseYHv ) 18-year-old Kennedy Renee Isaac was driving north on Ward Line Road Thursday and ran a stop sign. The car crashed into a Jeep driven by 49-year-old Oralia Benoit, of Lake Charles, who was heading east on Highway 397.

Anderson says Shelby Christine Granger, a passenger in Isaac's vehicle, died in the crash. Isaac and her twin sister, Kelsey Regen Isaac, suffered critical injuries.

Benoit suffered moderate injuries.

Anderson charges are pending.
