JACKSON, Mississippi — Severe weather has caused damage in central Mississippi.

A line of thunderstorm downed trees and power lines throughout Hinds County late Monday night into early Tuesday morning. No one was injured.

The National Weather Service office in Jackson says strong winds ripped off the canopy at an Exxon Station on Interstate 55 at the Gluckstadt exit in Madison County.

Trees were also downed in Adams and Fayette counties.
