Fire kills man in western Pennsylvania home; no immediate word on cause


MCKEESPORT, Pennsylvania — Authorities say fire has claimed the life of a man in a western Pennsylvania home.

Emergency dispatchers in Allegheny County say the blaze in McKeesport was first reported shortly before 10 p.m. Friday.

The blaze was contained in about an hour, but a man was rushed to UPMC McKeesport.

The county coroner's office says 58-year-old Eric Johnson was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The coroner's office said an autopsy on the victim's body is planned.

There was no immediate word about the cause of the blaze.
