PUEBLO, Colorado — A Pueblo man has been sentenced to 68 years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter.

Gilbert Sanchez was sentenced Friday for a DUI crash that killed three teen girls in April 2012.

According to KKTV (http://tinyurl.com/a5n3phk ), the three teenagers from Alamosa were driving home from a church event when Gilbert's car crashed into theirs. Prosecutors said he was drunk and driving faster than 100 mph.

Two teenagers were riding in the bed of Sanchez' Dodge truck at the time of the crash. They were ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured.

Gilbert originally faced 15 charges including child abuse and endangerment and reckless driving. He pleaded guilty to five charges in a March plea deal.
