Authorities search for missing state prison inmate; man walked away from western SD facility


RAPID CITY, South Dakota — Authorities are searching for a state prison inmate missing in Rapid City.

State corrections officials say 26-year-old Paul Trejo walked away from the Rapid City Minimum Unit between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Trejo is described as a Native American male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 245 pounds.

He is serving a 10-year sentence with two years suspended for a third-degree burglary out of Butte County.
