Columbia man sentenced to 45 for murder in 2012 shooting

COLUMBIA, South Carolina — A Columbia man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after he was found guilty of murder in 2012 shooting death.

Local media outlets report that 22-year-old Cheo Green was sentenced Friday after a four-day trial in Richland County Court. Green was also found guilty of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and carjacking with injury.

Prosecutors said that Green shot Michael Laverne Davis during an argument over drugs.
