Riders to wait longer on 5 of 6 Metro lines this weekend

WASHINGTON — Metro says riders will wait up to 20 minutes for trains on some lines this weekend.

Metro says starting at 10 a.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, red line trains will operate every 20 minutes. Orange, silver, blue and yellow line trains will operate every 18 minutes. And yellow line trains will operate between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square only.

Green line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals.
