ROME — Six Juventus players will go directly from the Champions League final to join Italy's squad for upcoming matches against Croatia and Portugal.
Mario Balotelli was again left out. The Liverpool forward has been called up only once and has not played since Conte replaced Cesare Prandelli after last year's World Cup.
Italy faces Group H leader Croatia in Split on Friday in a European Championship qualifier, then meets Portugal in Geneva four days later in a friendly.
The Azzurri are second in the group, two points behind Croatia.
