Students taken to hospital after bus crash in NJ; injuries described as minor

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey — Several students from a New Jersey town have been taken to hospitals after their school bus was in an accident.

Burlington Township Schools Superintendent Christopher Manno says all the injuries are believed to be minor.

Manno says he's not sure exactly how many students were on the bus as it headed to Fountain Woods Elementary School around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

School administrators are meeting students and parents at the hospitals.

Manno says those who were not taken to hospitals are being evaluated at school by a nurse and counselor and all the children's parents are being notified.

Fountain Woods serves children in the third through fifth grades.
