TUCSON, Arizona — Police say a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the killing of a Tucson man.

The boy was arrested after a police search Friday of his home and booked as an adult on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 66-year-old David Martinez.

Martinez's body was found July 25 at his home after he had missed almost a week of work.

Investigators haven't released key details, such as exactly how the boy was believed to be involved in the death and the manner in which Martinez was killed.

Authorities say Martinez's body had signs of trauma.

Tucson police say Sunday that the boy's mother and the victim had a child in common.

The Associated Press is not identifying the boy because of his age.
