BLADES, Delaware — Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store in Blades.

Troopers say it happened at 10 p.m. Tuesday when a man entered the Blades Discount Liquors & Cigarette Outlet located at 8774 Concord Road and confronted two female employees.

Troopers say the man was armed with two handguns and demanded money from the register. State police say one of the clerks turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber took the other employee's purse which contained cash, a phone and credit cards.

The suspect is described as a white male with short red hair. Troopers say he was wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
