BOZEMAN, Montana — Cameron Michael scored 16 points and Northern Colorado picked up its first road win in seven games, beating Montana State 62-54 on Saturday.

Tevin Svihovec added 12 points and Dominique Lee 10 for the Bears (6-7, 1-1 Big Sky). The Bears made half of their 18 3-point attempts, including seven in the first half in taking a 34-23 lead.

Michael Dison scored 19 points, making 5 of 9 3-point attempts, for the Bobcats (3-11, 0-2), who dropped their sixth straight game.

Trailing by 14 in the second half, Montana State took advantage of a 5:12 scoring drought by the Bears to close within six with 10:20 remaining. A pair of 3-pointers by Dison, the final field goals of the game, got the Bobcats within two points, 55-53, with 1:34 left, but the Northern Colorado made 7 of 8 free throws to clinch the win.
