ENID, Oklahoma — Enid police have arrested a woman for the death of her boyfriend who officers say was run over by a pickup truck in the driveway of a home on the city's south side.
Capt. Jack Morris says 44-year-old Orlando Rutledge died at the scene and that his girlfriend was arrested on complaints of vehicular manslaughter and assault and battery on an officer. Formal charges are pending.
Morris says the couple was apparently fighting Friday night when the woman got into the truck to leave and backed over Rutledge.
The woman was taken to the Garfield County jail where she remained Sunday. Rutledge's body was sent to the state medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
