Savannah State holds Allen University to 34 percent shooting in 67-49 victory

SAVANNAH, Georgia — Terel Hall scored 16 points, including a perfect 10 of 10 at the free throw line, and dished out four assists to lead Savannah State to a 67-49 victory over Allen University on Tuesday night.

Alante Fenner finished with 12 points and five rebounds off the bench for the Tigers, and Brian Pearson added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Savannah State was stout defensively all evening long, holding Allen University to 34 percent shooting from the field while forcing 24 Yellow Jackets turnovers.

Allen led for the first 10 minutes, but an 8-0 run by the Tigers gave them their first lead, a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the night.

Mark Jones was the only Yellow Jacket to reach double figures, scoring 10 points. William McGuire added eight points, four assists, and four steals.
