GALION, Ohio — Fire officials say a man and woman in their 70s have died in a house fire in north-central Ohio.

Officials say the fire broke out just before 1 a.m. Tuesday at the home in Galion, about 60 miles north of Columbus. Investigators discovered the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman in a bedroom of the home. Their names were not immediately released.

Crews say the home was completely engulfed in flames and is severely damaged.

Fire officials say the blaze appears to have started in a second floor bedroom, but are still working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
