Forte, White lead the way as Portland State beats Pacific Lutheran 105-60


PORTLAND, Oregon — Cameron Forte scored 22 points and Bryce White added 20 to lead Portland State to a 105-60 victory over Pacific Lutheran on Monday night.

Forte and White shot a combined 14 for 21 from the floor. Forte was 8 for 12 from the free throw line and White was 4 of 7 from behind the 3-point arc. Portland State (1-1) shot 60 percent from the field.

Pacific Lutheran, a Division III school, were led by Brandon Lester's 16 points and Bryce Miller added 11. The Lutes shot 33.3 percent from the floor, including 8 for 29 from 3.

The Vikings went on a 29-14 run to close the half for a 56-34 lead. Portland State pushed it to 84-51 on Khari Holloway's 3-pointer with 9:10 remaining.
