Man convicted of rape dies at Del. prison; foul play not suspected

SMYRNA, Delaware — Corrections officials say a man convicted of rape has died in prison.

Sixty-nine-year-old Lester R. Minner of Harrington died Thursday at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna after an illness.

Minner was serving a 34-year term. He was sentenced in 2002.

His body was turned over to the medical examiner. Foul play is not suspected.
