Moore and Mackey double up to lead North Florida past NAIA Edward Waters 98-69


JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Dallas Moore scored 24 points and Trent Mackey added 22 to lead North Florida past Edward Waters 98-69 on Wednesday night.

Moore scored 17 of the Ospreys first 40 points. He shot 9 for 15 from the field, 5 for 8 from 3 and had five rebounds and five assists.

Mackey was 6-of-10 shooting, 6 for 8 from 3, with five assists. Demarcus Daniels was 7 for 8 from the floor and finished with 18 points. Chris Davenport had 13 rebounds and 12 points for North Florida (3-0).

Davenport had two thunderous dunks in the first half that got the crowd going. His first was a put-back jam off a missed shot that put the Ospreys up 49-30. Two minutes later he threw one down driving uncontested to the rim for a 53-35 lead.

Edward Waters got a 24-point effort from Oceaan Maddox who shot 10 for 13 from the floor.
