EAST MILLINOCKET, Maine — Two people have been arrested on charges that they were running a methamphetamine lab in East Millinocket.

Maine drug agents say 31-year-old Beau Pelletier and 33-year-old Cynthia Burley were taken into custody Tuesday night after a search of their Main Street apartment and charged with drug trafficking.

Investigators say they found evidence inside the apartment consistent with the illegal manufacturing of meth, as well as several grams of the drug.

Peter Arno of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says manufacturing meth is an extremely volatile and dangerous operation that puts neighbors at risk.

The suspects were taken to the Penobscot County Jail and it was not clear if they had lawyers.
