Registration deadline nears for South Carolina voters hoping to cast ballots in June primaries

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina voters are almost out of time to register to vote in the state's primary elections.

The State Election Commission says voters have to be registered by the end of Saturday if they want to vote in the primaries, which are scheduled for June 12.

Voters can hand deliver an application to their county board of registration. Voters can also mail, fax or email the signed forms, but they have to be sent by Saturday.

Registered voters can also check to make sure their information is up to date at scvotes.org.

South Carolina voters don't have to register by party, so voters can cast ballots in either primary, but not both.
