WILLISTON, North Dakota — A Michigan man facing a murder charge in the western North Dakota oil patch has been sentenced for driving with a suspended license and violating conditions of his bond by entering a bar.
The Williston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/HQxn38 ) that Ryan Anderson was sentenced to 10 days in jail, but his $50,000 bond was not revoked. Judge David Nelson also did not reinstate the original $1 million bond that he had reduced earlier.
Anderson is accused of stabbing to death his friend, Christopher King, in an alcohol-fueled dispute in March at an oil field crew camp between Ray and Tioga. He is scheduled for trial in mid-February.
