AAA: Average price of gasoline in Oregon $3.98; up 21 cents over year-ago price

PORTLAND, Oregon — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.98.

That's up 2 cents in a week and 9 cents in a month. It's 21 cents higher than a year ago and 30 cents higher than the current national average.

Some metro prices from Monday's AAA survey:

Portland $3.96, Salem $3.97, Eugene-Springfield $4.03, Medford-Ashland $4.03.
