Woman jailed on $50K bail in robbery of western Maine pharmacy

KINGFIELD, Maine — A 27-year-old woman is facing charges of allegedly robbing a western Maine pharmacy.

Michelle Wilcox of Madrid is being held on $50,000 bail for the Monday afternoon robbery at Western Maine Pharmacy in Kingfield. Officials say she's accused of robbing the pharmacy's entire stock of Suboxone — a drug used to treat opiate addiction — after handing a clerk a note saying she had a weapon.

Police say they arrested Wilcox less than an hour later.

Jail officials said Wilcox does not yet have an attorney.
