December trial set for ex-judge, ex-prosecutor, ex-drug court coordinator on conspiracy charge

McALESTER, Okla. — A December trial date has been scheduled for a former special judge, former prosecutor and a former drug court coordinator on conspiracy charges.

Online court records show the jury trial is to begin Dec. 3 for in Pittsburg County District Court for former Judge William Layden Jr., former Assistant District Attorney James Michael Miller and former drug court coordinator Angela Marie Marcum.

Prosecutors say the three tried to obstruct an embezzlement investigation into allegations that money from county's drug court program was not deposited with the county clerk.

Each of the three has pleaded not guilty.
