BEAR, Delaware — Delaware State Police say a man arrested after a trooper was shot has been charged with additional offenses in the incident.

Police say 50-year-old John Greenlee was charged with assault and other offenses. He had previously been charged with reckless endangering and a weapons offense. Greenlee surrendered to troopers on Monday.

A trooper who was shot while executing a search warrant Aug. 6 in Bear was wearing body armor and suffered minor injuries. Authorities were looking for John Greenlee's son, 21-year-old Nathaniel Greenlee. The younger Greenlee has active warrants issued by New Jersey State Police in connection with the armed robbery last month of the Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in which $180,000 in cash was taken.

Nathaniel Greenlee was arrested Aug. 6 in Pennsylvania.
