FRANKFORT, Ky. — Warren County was the state leader in private-sector job growth from 2001 to 2010, expanding by more than 15 percent.
That's the finding of University of Louisville economist Paul Coomes, who briefed the state's Blue Ribbon Commission on Tax Reform Tuesday about job growth in various regions of Kentucky.
Coomes told members of the tax reform group that the counties that experienced the greatest growth were generally along Kentucky 's borders.
Warren County added more than 7,500 jobs over the decade.
