Prosecutors think girlfriend of man accused of killing parents helped hide bodies

PAINTSVILLE, Kentucky — Prosecutors say the girlfriend of a man accused of murdering his parents may have been involved in the crime.

Amanda Fannin told police Willie Blanton killed his parents, and she led them to the bodies. In exchange, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty for Blanton. They also agreed not to charge Fannin in the case unless there was proof she was involved.

WYMT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/ZK64KH) prosecutors now say Fannin told people she helped hide the bodies, cleaned up the murder scene and was present for one of the killings. They have filed a motion to revoke the plea agreement. It will be heard on May 17.

Fannin is in the Pike County jail on unrelated charges.

Blanton has pleaded not guilty and is in jail in Boyd County.
