Police ID 2 killed in Memphis shooting; investigation continues, no arrests made


MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Police have identified two men killed in a shooting at a Memphis residence.

Memphis police said in a statement that 23-year-old Alvaro Casillas was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday and 25-year-old Juan Garcia died at a hospital.

Two other men, ages 27 and 29, were taken to Regional One hospital in critical condition.

A preliminary investigation found that two armed men approached the victims and demanded money before they began firing at them.

No arrests have been made. Police say anyone with information about the shooting should call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH or call the Homicide Bureau at 901-636-3300.
