MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Authorities say a 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of his 4-month-old daughter.
Multiple media outlets report Nathan Scarborough is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the child's death on Tuesday.
Police say officers responded to a call at a hospital, where the child had been pronounced dead.
Memphis police Sgt. Karen Rudolph says the baby was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Authorities say the child was in full cardiac arrest.
Rudolph says the medical examiner's office found that the child suffered from apparent internal head injuries. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Scarborough is also charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect. He was being held at the Shelby County Jail.
It isn't immediately clear if Scarborough has an attorney.
