Baton Rouge police investigate shooting death of 20-year-old man

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — Baton Rouge police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old man.

Police say Jarmayne Bantu was shot and killed around 10 p.m. Wednesday while sitting in the back of vehicle traveling on Provost Street.

A second victim sitting next to Bantu in the vehicle was shot and injured.

Police tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/18uxZlF ) the wounded were driven to a hospital where Bantu died and the other victim received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives have no suspects and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
