OCEAN RIDGE, Florida — A young man drowned while swimming in with friends near Hammock Park in Palm Beach County.

Jacobo Dorcely was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after going under water and not resurfacing. Emergency crews from several agencies searched for more than an hour before finding Dorcely about 50 feet off shore.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says he was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead.

The Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/1k2cRhS ) reports three people have now drowned in the area around the Boynton Beach Inlet jetty in recent months. A teenager visiting from Haiti drowned in January and a 23-year-old drowned on Feb. 14 after getting caught in a rip current during an early morning swim.

Three teens almost drowned on March 1 while surfing near the jetty.
