WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vermont — A woman has pleaded guilty to negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from a fatal February 2012 accident in Springfield, Vermont
Fifty-year-old Ling Wang received a sentence of three months to a year, all suspended except for 30 days.
The Eagle Times reports (http://bit.ly/1hirEDZ) as part of plea deal, Wang pleaded guilty to an amended negligent operation count that was reduced to a misdemeanor from a felony. Another pending charge was dismissed.
The two-vehicle collision on Route 106 killed 47-year-old Nicki Farren of Springfield.
Wang is prohibited from driving for five years.
