Billings man who pleaded guilty to shooting at worker and officer will be sentenced Feb. 19

BILLINGS, Montana — A 38-year-old Billings man who pleaded guilty to shooting at a fast-food worker and a police officer will be sentenced Feb. 19 in Yellowstone County District Court.

Justin Wesley Delacruz has pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted deliberate homicide with a weapons enhancement along with felony robbery, criminal endangerment and possession of meth.

Prosecutors say he demanded money from a Sonic Drive-in employee early July 6, fired shots at the employee and then shot through the windshield of a responding officer's car.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/13yr1ko ) that Delacruz remains in jail on $1 million bail.
