Police say 1 woman killed, 2 people injured in crash at Wilmington intersection

NORTH WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police say one woman is dead and two others are injured after a crash in North Wilmington.

Police say officers were called to the intersection of Naamans Road and Darly Road early Saturday. Police say 56-year-old Debora Vagnoni of Wilmington was killed in the crash.

Investigators say Vagnoni was driving through an intersection after the light turned green. That's when another driver ran through a red light and struck the side of Vagnoni's vehicle.

Investigators say Vagnoni and a passenger in her car were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Police say the passenger is in critical condition.

The driver of the other car is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
