KENNESAW, Georgia — Brian Pegg had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds as Stetson defeated Kennesaw State 84-79 on Saturday.

Stetson (8-13, 2-4 Atlantic Sun) shot 29 for 50 from the floor (58 percent) and 20 for 25 from the free-throw line (80 percent). Only one of Stetson's eight players who entered the game shot below 50 percent.

Derrick Newton had 13 points, Divine Miles finished with 11 and Angel Rivera and Luke Doyle each added 10.

Yonel Brown scored 34 points for Kennesaw State (5-16, 1-4) shooting 11 for 21 from the field (6 for 11 from 3). It was the second 34-point effort of his career, two off his career high of 36 points.

It was the fourth time Brown — a 5-foot-9 senior guard — has made 11 field goals from the floor. The Owls lost all four of those games.

Kendrick Ray added 22 points for Kennesaw State.
