MONTEBELLO, New York — A 71-year-old New York man is accused of inappropriately touching a 14-year-old inside a bathroom of a McDonald's restaurant.

Ramapo police say Robert Cosenza of Airmont fled when the boy fought back.

Police say it happened Monday afternoon at the Indian Rock Shopping Center in Ramapo.

Cosenza was arrested Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor counts of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Journal News (http://lohud.us/1za0sx7 ) says he was released on $500 bail pending a court appearance Aug. 13.
