KINGS MOUNTAIN, North Carolina — Officials have released the name of a woman who died after falling about 150 feet at Crowders Mountain State Park in Gaston County.

Officials said 48-year-old Stephanie Anderson of Charlotte died after the fall Saturday.

Fire officials told local media outlets that the 48-year-old woman was trying to take a family picture with one of her daughters and her husband when she fell.

Officials say Anderson died at the scene.

Officials say she fell from Kings Pinnacle near the Gaston and Cleveland County lines. Kings Pinnacle is one of two main peaks in the park, the other is Crowders Mountain.
