MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — The runway at the Myrtle Beach International Airport is open after it was closed for a time after a small plane made an emergency landing.
Airport spokesman Kirk Lovell says the small plane landed Wednesday night with its landing gear only partially down. There were no injuries but the runway was closed for about 90 minutes while crews checked for possible debris.
One commercial flight was diverted to Columbia while the runway was closed.
Lovell says the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.
